Today, Rep. Mike Bost (R-Ill.), the Ranking Member of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, released the following statement after the Senate passed an amended version of H.R. 3967, the SFC Heath Robinson Honoring Our PACT Act:
“I applaud the Senate for passing a much improved, bipartisan version of the PACT Act today," said Ranking Member Bost. “The Senate bill is a better bill that addresses many of my concerns with the prior House version. I look forward to joining my colleagues in voting in support of it next week on behalf of the millions of my fellow veterans who are sick and suffering as a result of their service to our country, and the survivors of those we have already lost to toxic exposure.” The SFC Heath Robinson Honoring Our PACT Act, also known as the PACT Act, is comprehensive legislation to connect veterans who were exposed to burn pits or other dangerous toxins in service to our country with the healthcare and disability benefits they have earned from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). |
