Chairman Bost Reappointed to Serve as VA Committee Chairman for the 119th Congress

Today, House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Chairman Mike Bost (R-Ill.), released the following statement after being reappointed by the Republican Steering Committee to continue serving as Committee Chairman for the 119th Congress:

“It is a deep honor to have the trust of my colleagues to continue leading the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs in the 119th Congress,” said Chairman Bost. “The mission of my Committee has always been personal for me – and it will continue to be in the new Congress. We have made great progress this year to find the gaps in the delivery of VA care, benefits, and services to get the government out of the way and improve outcomes for veterans and their families. We have also put the Biden-Harris administration on notice to hold them accountable to the men and women they serve. Looking ahead to next Congress, I am eager to work with the Trump administration, and my fellow House and Senate Republican colleagues, to fulfill the mandate the American people have given us to expand economic opportunity, fight for veterans’ healthcare choice, restore accountability at VA, and protect the rights that those who have served have earned. We have no greater mission – and I look forward to getting it done.”
