Today, Rep. Mike Bost (R-Ill.), the Ranking Member of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, released the following statement after the President signed S. 3373, the SFC Heath Robinson Honoring Our PACT Act of 2022 into law, comprehensive legislation to connect toxic-exposed veterans, and their survivors, with the healthcare and benefits they have earned.

“For the past 20 months, we have worked with countless advocates, Senators, and Members of Congress from both sides of the aisle to get comprehensive toxic exposure legislation to the President’s desk. As a veteran myself, this goal was always a top priority of mine. That’s why I was thrilled to see President Biden sign the Honoring Our PACT Act into law today. The PACT Act will make a difference in the lives of millions of veterans, and the survivors and families of those who have unfortunately already left us. It delivers on the promise we have made to our warfighters,” said Ranking Member Bost. “Now, Congress will be focused on ensuring VA properly implements this massive bill. The funding in it must be strictly used for getting veterans the care, benefits, and services they are due. I am grateful to the advocates and veterans service organizations who held our feet to the fire every step of the way, and I applaud them for never giving up the fight on behalf of their brothers and sisters in arms.”
