Markup Action: Committee Advances 18 Bills to the Full House as part of GOP Agenda

This week, the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, led by Chairman Mike Bost (R-Ill.), reported out 18 bills to be eligible for consideration by the full House of Representatives. Remarks on each of these bills can be found here.

“From protecting veterans’ constitutional rights, to safeguarding the VA home loan program for current and future generations, to bolstering mental health care services nationwide, to holding claim sharks accountable, to building modern VA hospitals, and much more, our committee reported out 18 vitally important bills this week on behalf of the men and women who have served,” said Chairman Bost. “I want to thank the sponsors of each of these bills for their work. These 18 bills represent a significant step forward towards delivering on the promise House Republicans have made to cut out the bureaucracy and change the way VA works for veterans and their families.”

H.R. 980 – The Modernizing the Veterans On-Campus Experience Act of 2025 (Rep. Van Orden)

H.R. 1364 – The Automotive Support Services to Improve Safe Transportation Act of 2025 (Rep. Barrett)

H.R. 1458 – The Veterans Education and Technical Skills Opportunity Act of 2025 (Rep. Ciscomani)
