Ranking Member Bost’s Statement on VA’s Recommendations for the AIR Commission
Washington,
March 14, 2022
Today, Rep. Mike Bost (R-Ill.), the Ranking Member of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, released the following statement after the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced their recommendations for the VA medical facilities that should be modernized, realigned, or closed under the Asset and Infrastructure Review (AIR) Act:
“For far too long, VA’s infrastructure has been slowly crumbling. Veterans in every corner of the country deserve better. That’s why Congress acted decisively, and bipartisanly, to include AIR in the MISSION Act,” said Ranking Member Bost. “I look forward to the work that the AIR Commission will do in the coming months to ensure the recommendations VA released today stand up to scrutiny and fulfill the promise AIR holds for veterans nationwide. There are many milestones and hard decisions ahead but retaining the status quo is not an option.” To read more about VA’s recommendations to the AIR Commission, click here. |
