Ranking Member Bost’s VA Transparency & Trust Act Passes the House with Bipartisan Support

Today, Rep. Mike Bost (R-Ill.), the Ranking Member of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, released the following statement after the House passed his bill, H.R. 2911, the VA Transparency & Trust Act of 2021. This key legislation will ensure full and total accountability regarding the billions of dollars in COVID emergency relief funding given to the Department of Veterans Affairs throughout the past year.

“I was thrilled to see my bill, the VA Transparency & Trust Act of 2021, pass with bipartisan support tonight. It will give veterans, taxpayers, and lawmakers needed insight into how VA is spending COVID relief funds,” said Ranking Member Bost. “Congress has given VA tens of billions of dollars to respond to the pandemic. We know very little about how that money is being used. My bill will fix that. I hope to see it passed in the Senate and signed into law by the President as soon as possible.”
