Ranking Member Roe Statement on the Confirmation of Chairman Moran

Today, Rep. Phil Roe, M.D. (R-Tenn.), the Ranking Member of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, released the following statement after Senator Jerry Moran was confirmed to serve as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs:

“Senator Moran has always been a fighting force in Congress for the men and women who have served in our Armed Forces – first in the House, and now in the Senate. There is no doubt in my mind that he will continue to serve our nation’s heroes well as he assumes the role as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs. I look forward to continuing to work with him to deliver on the promises our country has made to the men and women in uniform.”

Senator Moran has served on the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs since 2011. Previously, as a Representative from Kansas, he served for 12 years on the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs.
