Washington, D.C. - Today, Chairman Phil Roe, M.D. (R-Tenn.) released the hearing schedule for July 30 - August 3. The following events are open to the press: WHO: Subcommittee on Health WHEN: 10:00 a.m. PDT, Monday, July 30, 2018 WHERE: Ventura County Office of Education, Salon B and C, 5100 Adolfo Road, Camarillo, CA 93012 and streaming here. BACKGROUND: During this field hearing the subcommittee will discuss long-term care for veterans and veteran’s choices for care as they age or face catastrophic injuries or illnesses. The subcommittee will also explore how the various VA Long Term Care programs work together and what services veterans would like to have available to them as they age, as well as eligibility requirements for the various programs. Additionally, the subcommittee will discuss best practices of private-sector counterparts in the Ventura, California area. |
