Today, Chairman Phil Roe, M.D. (R-Tenn.) today released the hearing schedule for May 22 – 26. WHO: Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations WHAT: “VA Financial Management” WHEN: 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 24, 2017 WHERE: 334 Cannon House Office Building and streaming here. BACKGROUND: During this oversight hearing on VA’s financial management policies and practices, the subcommittee will examine VA’s fiscal year 2016 agency financial report as well as a number of GAO reports on VA’s $5.5 billion in improper payments, the Do Not Pay system and reporting of improper payments. The Office of the Inspector General will also present the findings of its latest report on VA’s efforts to eliminate improper payments. |
