Committee Passes 10 Veterans Bills

Washington, D.C. – Today, Chairman Phil Roe, M.D. (R-Tenn.) released the following statement after the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs passed ten bills out of committee:

“Today, the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs continued to deliver on our promise to transform and strengthen the VA in order to ensure that our nation’s veterans receive the quality care and benefits they deserve. The bipartisan bills reported to the full House for consideration would create a fourth administration within VA charged with overseeing VA programs that help create economic opportunities for veterans; authorize VA to pay for the cost of Medical Foster Homes; improve efforts that help returning servicemembers reintegrate back into civilian life and make improvements to the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) – to name a few. I look forward to working with my colleagues to move these bills through the legislative process, and I’m proud the committee is continuing our tradition of bipartisanship.”
