Smith from the National Committee for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve,spoke about the importance of USERRA both to employers and to members of the Guard and reserve.

	Subcommittee Chairman Henry Brown of South Carolina (on the right), along with Ranking Democratic Member Michael Michaud of Maine, convened the hearing to learn about some of the 'best practices' that major national employers have implemented to meet the requirements of USERRA.
