WASHINGTON, DC-- Ms. Norma C. Nicolls, former assistant to M.
Larry Lawrence, testifies before the House Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations
regarding the Arlington National Cemetery burial waiver issue. Mr. Lawrence was buried in
Arlington National Cemetery in 1996, after serving as ambassador to Switzerland. Last
December, the Lawrence family asked that his body be disinterred after the Subcommittee
determined that Mr. Lawrence's name did not appear as having served as a Merchant Marine
in at least three locations where such records would be expected to be found. (HVAC Photo)
